Elite Payroll Solutions wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, screen magnification, or with animation and motion turned down.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the level most widely referenced in US accessibility practice, and it is the target we hold new work to.

What we have done

• Every page is real HTML with a single main heading and a sensible heading order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
• A skip link at the top of every page jumps straight to the main content.
• The whole site can be operated by keyboard, and the focused element is always visible.
• Menus open on keyboard focus as well as on hover, so a dropdown is not mouse-only.
• Tap targets in the header and footer are at least 44 pixels tall.
• Images carry alternative text, and decorative images are marked so they are skipped rather than announced.
• Text and background colours are chosen for contrast, and the page reflows without horizontal scrolling on a phone.

Where we know we fall short

Accessibility is not a one-off task, and we would rather name the gaps than imply there are none. Some older PDF documents and third-party tools that we link to, including the client login portal, are provided by outside vendors and we do not control their code. If you hit a barrier in one of those, tell us and we will help you get what you need another way.
